OCTOBER 26, 2008 - Slow Acting Poison
The new CD from The Birth of Lucretia Redux soundtrack artist Chris MacKinnon's side project, Be Not Idle In Preperation of Thy Doom is finished and full song previews are available on his myspace page. Click on the album cover below. The track, "Unbind the Writhing Heretical Mute" was written specifically for the upcoming film.

SEPTEMBER 29, 2008 - The Electric Acid Theatre DVD Home Video
I took on a large-scale DVD project this summer with The Electric Acid Theatre. After meeting The Enigma and Serana Rose at a fashion show in Des Moines, it didn't take long for us to realize the potential of our collaboration. What followed was an entire DVD, built from the ground up as a home video to be sold exclusively at their shows all over the world and on their website, located here:

SEPTEMBER 2, 2008 - The Luther Blacktop
IFC Films and Toyota Scion sponsored a contest thsi summer for independant filmmakers to create a pilot/trailer episode for their own web-series. My idea was to have a couple of brothers travel all across America, staging elaborate killings and revitalizing small towns with the subsequent tourism. To see my trailer, click on the poster below:

AUGUST 18, 2008 - The Birth of Lucretia Redux - coming soon!
It has always been my intention to revisit the original Lucretia film and recreate it with the knowledge gained while working on ReBirth and AfterBirth. That time is quickly approaching and I must admit, this entry will be the most jarring of the films so far. Guaranteed to be shocking, obscene and unacceptable to most audiences, The Birth of Lucretia Redux will also feature a brand new score from Chris MacKinnon's side project, "Be Not Idle In Preperation of Thy Doom."

JUNE 01, 2008 - New Full-Length Lucretia Script!
While writing AfterBirth, Lucretia's entire life was mapped out and a second script was started in an attempt to explain how all of this could happen, in a normal linear way. The results of that study have been reworked and outlined and are now beingtransformed into the first full-length Lucretia film script! Check back for updates!

APRIL 09, 2008 - Bitter News Update.
"AFTERBIRTH" has been received about as well as air-bourne cancer. In fact, not only was the film itself rejected unanimously from film festivals, but viewer feedback has been silent. In most cases, people simply have refused or forgotten to watch the screening copies they've been sent. In almost all cases, not only has there been absolutely no feedback, but they have gone so far as to sever communication with me. This is all very exciting in one regard, as nobody is actually scared of the monster that lurks in the closet, it's the idea that there COULD be a monster in there that gets you scared. Even in one-on-one viewings for the sole reason of discussion afterwards, the viewer is left silent with just a long stare and open mouth as their only tangible feedback. Of course, some people have commented that it's "certainly not what I expected" or "where did you do this?" One brave soul, though did present me with a full review, uncensored and full of as many questions as it was criticism and praise. An excerpt of that review:

"Well, I definitely am no genius when it comes to understanding a plot, or translating art to a story, but I loved what I saw, more how what I saw made me feel within....I actually felt uncomfortable in a good way...anytime you see a girl knifing a bat out of her crotch and you feel aroused and interested, curious and uneasy....it's gotta be good....!!!"
